I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
This is the photo that inspired LuvYa Reader. My father and son, Christmas 1994.
It was five years ago that I lost my father, my son and my employment within just a few months. It was the Holy Spirit that led me to look through photos of my father reading to my son that planted the seed for LuvYa Reader. I reflected on my son’s courage, tenacity and character, as he never once allowed his suffering from Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy to define him. I recalled my father’s selfless nature, and how he taught me to treat triumph and disaster, the two imposters, both the same.
I did not choose LuvYa Reader, God chose me.
One of the most encouraging recurring themes in the Bible are the stories of the “average Joes”, the people who, because they responded to God’s calling, did extraordinary things. In fact, they were very ordinary in every sense of the word; except for one thing, they all had the incredible faith of a mustard seed. Think of all of the unnamed persons to whom the Gospels are written; they believed and endured and we are the beneficiaries of their steadfastness.
It was God’s incredible love, His amazing grace, by which He broke me down and tilled the soil of my heart so that He could transform my soul and plant the seed.
On Monday, June 1st, LuvYa Reader became a reality.
We get to plant and water His seeds.
LuvYa Reader is a fun and easy resource that was designed to help families to plant the seed of God’s Word into the lives of our young loved ones. Our team is committed to you and your family.
Our mission is to glorify God and His Son, Jesus, by inspiring families to connect and bond through the timeless act of sharing Bible stories aloud.
We are blessed to be the “average Janes and Joes” who God called His children.
So now as it is written in Joel 1:3 “Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation. “
We can’t wait to see what God will continue to do.
